Examining the Application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the Classroom for Effective Teaching and Learning

Abstract
Artificial Intelligence and machine learning innovations can be used to examine teacher and student learning. Examples of AI methods in education include out grading essays and creating customized student‘s suggestion and advancing the learning resources.AI ideas are added to help learning can be divided informally up to three categories. Teacher, scholarship and Guidance. These groups are general and it does not necessarily exclusive, but framework is provided for development of an organization. Previous methods of AI has been looked at by the paper which shows how AI improve the learning and group them to assist in the new improvement to AI applications in teaching and learning. The current economy is most likely relied based on education powered by AI especially in the higher education. Labor – intensive task and knowledge gap can easily achieve through the help of AI. In addition, the researcher also looks drawbacks potentially which include consideration on ethical issues using learning information to power AI. By analyzing the previous use of AI in education this research intends to categories the framework to improve understanding of the area of AI and bring rapid development needed by the developing countries.

Deconstructing the Nexus- A Critical Analysis of Philosophy, Artificial Intelligence and Digital Education Philosophy, Artificial Intelligence and Digital Education

Artificial Intelligence (AI) refers to machine intelligence created in computers by mimicking the processes associated with human intelligence. The procedure is a combination of scientific principles involving algorithm development, machine learning, big data, and neural networks. Having become very successful, artificially intelligent systems now achieve much of what was previously reserved for only humans such as answering of queries, organizing and executing tasks, and processing information in detail. Thus, AI has become a major resource for teaching and learning at all levels of education. The limits of what artificial systems can do are however determined by the level of scientific capacity of the human brain and how humans choose to deploy this. Hence the concerns as to when such artificially intelligent systems would take over the entire roles of humans have to be resolved by humans themselves. Replacing the human species completely as often projected for AI systems, would require having the self-awareness that only a mind can bring. These matters are at the intersection of AI Technology, Digital Education, and Philosophy. In the meantime, such a possibility remains an illusion.

Artificial Intelligence: Gain or Loss to Our National Philosophy of Education

Abstract
The foundations of artificial intelligence (AI) from the early philosophical inquiries of Aristotle to the groundbreaking innovations of Alan Turing and the 1956 Dartmouth Conference have evolved into a transformative force across the educational sector. In this paper, the relevance of AI to Nigeria‘s educational goals is assessed through the lens of the national philosophy on education. The paper observed that AI uses technology to simulate human intelligence and is increasingly transforming education through personalized learning, automation, and inclusive tools. In Nigeria, AI holds the potential to support key educational goals such as equal access, national unity, and citizenship development. Despite these benefits, AI also presents risks including cultural erosion, algorithmic bias and job loss that could undermine the ethical and human-centered foundation of our educational system. To ensure that AI is a gain and not a loss, it must be implemented carefully, complementing rather than replacing teachers and aligning with Nigeria‘s values through strong policies, infrastructure, training, and ethical oversight. The paper recommends among others that government should adopt a clear AI framework in its education policy that reflects national values and development goals in line with her philosophy of education.

Ethical Issues in the Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Robotics

Abstract
Technology may be governed by concepts known as technology ethics, which take into account things like individual rights and risk management. Techno-ethical viewpoints have been steadily changing in recent years as technology develops in fields not previously imagined by its developers and an increasing number of individuals from various social, political, educational, and economic backgrounds use new technologies. Therefore, this paper examined ethical issues in the use of artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics. Three major terms, ethics, artificial intelligence, and robotics, were conceptually discussed. Specifically, the role of artificial intelligence and robotics and their ethical implications for the human race were critically discussed. In this regard, the paper critically examined the possible consequences of human use and unchecked application of artificial intelligence and robotics in various industries. Some of the areas where the application of artificial intelligence and robotics has raised some ethical questions in recent times include job loss and wealth inequality, human-robot interaction such as care robots and sex robots, artificial stupidity and mistakes, AI systems and human lives, rogue AIs, and privacy and surveillance. Effective Integration of Artifical Intelligence in Teaching and Learning

Abstract
This study investigates the effectiveness of artificial intelligence (AI) in teaching and learning, focusing on teacher perception, student engagement, and learning outcomes. A mixed-methods approach was employed, combining survey research, experimental design, and thematic analysis. Results show that AI in education is associated with higher teacher satisfaction, increased student engagement, and improved learning outcomes. Regression analysis reveals that teacher perception of AI is a significant predictor of student engagement, which in turn predicts learning outcomes. Thematic analysis highlights the benefits of AI in education, including enhanced student engagement, personalized learning, and efficient grading. The experimental results demonstrate the positive impact of AI-enhanced instruction on student engagement and learning outcomes. This study provides insights into the potential of AI to enhance teaching and learning, informing evidence-based practices and policy decisions. Based on findings on this study, the study recommends that Educators and administrators should consider integrating AI-powered tools and platforms into their teaching and learning practices.

The Philosophical Foundation and Role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Effective Governance in Nigeria

Abstract
Some scholars wonder whether there is philosophy in Nigerian governance. This is owing to the dire impact of governance on every sector of Nigerian society with its resultant hardship, poor human condition and threatened national existence. Consequently, national discourse revolves on the poor governance in the country and its assumed lack of philosophy and rational application of policies. This debate is aflame with scholars claiming that philosophy and philosophers are yet to be involved in Nigerian policy formulation and implementation that culminate in governance. This raises the question of whether philosophers are removed from Nigerian governance and whether the contents of governance or governance experience in Nigeria are philosophical. In these debates too, are growing calls for application of artificial intelligence for quality and effective governance in Nigeria. This study interrogates these concerns using philosophical method of analysis to determine the philosophic foundation of Nigerian governance and the role artificial intelligence can play in effective Nigerian governance. The study admits that Nigerian governance is optimally poor because of negative philosophy; but could be rectified through application of positive philosophy and functional artificial intelligence. The study notes that negative philosophies encompass Nigerian governance due to its egoistic desirables pursued by people in government. The study concludes that philosophy and artificial intelligence can remake Nigerian governance when quality philosophy and useful artificial intelligence are employed in decision making, policy implementation and supervision.

Generative Artificial Intelligence and Learning Needs: Opportunities or Challenges?

Abstract
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is reshaping every aspect of human life including learning process. AI is engraved in handheld devices and mobile applications as digital companion. However, the proliferation of sense engines that are content creators make researchers to question the quality of learning by students who are frequently using AI. Hence, this paper addresses a fundamental question of whether Gen-AI (Gen-AI) poses opportunities or challenges in students‘ learning process. This analytical paper adopts a scoping review and PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic reviews and Meta-Analysis) approach by identifying and reviewing SCOPUS-indexed publications from 2019 to 2024 on the variables under review. This review is significant for the future of Gen-AI in education. As a way forward, several recommendations are made that there should be institutional guidelines on the use of Gen-AI for learning so that algorithm-generated content aligns with acceptable moral values, and students should always assess whether the generated content satisfies their learning needs rather than giving them quick answers for immediate use.

Artificial Intelligence and Digital Educational Management in the Universities in Delta State, Nigeria

Abstract
The purpose of this paper was to investigate ArtificialIntelligence and Digital Educational Management in the public universities in Delta State. Two federal and two state universities were selected for this study. Specifically, the study investigated the extent to which the Management staff of Federal and State universities in Delta state utilizes artificial intelligence in managerial evaluations and decision, makings. Two research questions were coined to guide the study and two null hypotheses were tested at 0.05 alpha level of significance. The researchers adopted descriptives design for the study. The population of the study is 334 Management staff of two federal and two state universities in Delta State. Purposive sampling technique was used, hence the entire population also served as the sample for the study. Questionnaire called Instrument for the Study of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Educational Management in the universities (ISAIDEMU) was used as tool for data collection. The instrument was validated by three experts. Two of them came from the Department of Educational Foundations/Administration, Alvan Ikoku Federal University of Education Owerri, and one fromdepartment of Measurement and Evaluation, Faculty of Education, Imo state University, Owerri. The two clusters of the instrument yielded coefficient value of 0.91 and 0.90 and later an overall coefficient value of 0.90 was gotten at a reliability test conducted at Micheal Okpara University of Education, Umudike Abia state. Data was collected with the aid of instructed research assistants. the study showed that Management staff of federal and state universities in Delta state utilizes AI in Evaluations to a low extent while utilization of AI in Decision makings by the management staff of these universities was found to be to a high extent. Test of the two null hypothese shows that there is no significant difference in the opinions of both the federal and state universities management on the results above. Recommendations were made one of which is : The federal and state government should as a matter of urgency through the NUC and Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND) step into know the reason for the low extent utilization of A.I in Evaluation and proffer solutions. Conclusion was made and educational implications of the findings presented.

University Awka, Anambra State, in the light of the aims of philosophy of education. The study adopted the descriptive survey research design. Two research questions were formulated to guide the researchers in conducting the study. The population of this study consisted of 29,976 students of Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka out of which a sample of 300 was used. A questionnaire of 20 items designed with a four-point likert scale was used as instrument for data collection. Mean ratings were used to answer the research questions. The study found out a general low level of students‘ awareness of the empowering potentials of artificial intelligence technology for digital education. Based on the findings, it is recommended among others, that Government agencies, university management and students‘ union government should organize regular seminars and conferences to intimate students on the empowering potentials of artificial intelligence technology for digital education.
